Is my Reddit account login information safe?
Yes. RedWipe connects to Reddit using secure OAuth2 protocol. Your login credentials are entered directly on Reddit's official authorization page and are never seen, stored, or sent to our servers. The resulting local access token is stored safely using your device's native secure storage.
How does RedWipe delete my posts and comments?
Reddit's API doesn't allow editing or deleting other users' contents without authorization. RedWipe uses your local authorization token to query your profile's list of posts and comments and performs edit/delete requests sequentially. To bypass Reddit's history archive, we also offer an option to overwrite your content with random text before deleting it.
What is the GDPR Data Package Import option?
Due to Reddit API limits, the standard profile API can only retrieve up to 1,000 of your most recent items. If you want to delete all posts or comments older than that, you can request your full GDPR data archive directly from Reddit, download it, and import the CSV data files into RedWipe to target all history records.
