Does Redirectly collect any of my data?
Absolutely not. Redirectly processes every redirection rule 100% locally on your device. We never collect, store, or transmit your browsing history, URLs, or any personal information. Your rules are yours alone.
How do I import or export my rules?
In the Redirectly app, tap the Settings icon (⚙️) and choose Export Rules to save your rules as a JSON file. To import, tap Import Rules and select a valid JSON file. This makes it easy to backup, share, or restore your configuration on any device.
Why is my redirect rule not working?
Make sure your Match URL pattern is correct. You can test it in the Rule Detail screen by entering a sample URL and seeing if it matches. If you're using Regex, double-check your capturing groups. Also ensure the extension has permission for All Websites in Safari settings.
How do I open Gmail in Safari instead of the app?
Go to the Rule Library inside Redirectly, find the Gmail in Browser preset and add it. The rule intercepts mail.google.com links and ensures they always open in Safari — no more involuntary app switching.
Can I watch TikTok or Instagram without logging in?
Yes! Enable the TikTok No Login and Instagram No Login presets from the Rule Library. Redirectly will bypass the forced login screens so you can view public content freely in your browser.
How does the Old Reddit theme work on iPhone?
Redirectly includes a curated CSS theme specifically adapted for the old.reddit.com mobile layout. Enable the Old Reddit Mobile preset and every reddit.com link you open will be redirected and beautifully rendered — compact threads, clean fonts, no distracting redesign.

Yes! Redirectly is a universal purchase. It works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Enable the extension in Safari settings on each device. If you use iCloud, your rules can sync seamlessly across all your Apple devices.
What URL patterns does Redirectly support?
Redirectly supports three modes: Exact URL, Wildcard (e.g. *://reddit.com/*), and full Regular Expressions with capturing groups. For power users, you can even apply Base64 encoding or URL encoding transforms to the captured groups in your redirect destination.
