At Redirectly, we believe that privacy is a fundamental right. This policy describes how Redirectly ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles — or more accurately, does not handle — your data. The short version: we collect nothing.
1Information We Do Not Collect
Redirectly was architected from day one to operate with zero data collection. Here is what we explicitly do not collect:
No Personal Data
No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any identifiable information.
No Browsing History
We never track, record, or upload any URLs you visit or redirect.
No Analytics
Zero third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs inside the app.
No Location Data
We never request or access your device's location.
2Local Processing Only
All URL matching, redirection logic, and rule evaluation happens entirely on-device. When Safari navigates to a page:
- Redirectly checks your local rule set using the Safari Web Extension API
- If a rule matches, the redirect is executed entirely within Safari's process
- No URL data is sent to any server — ours or anyone else's
- No log of the redirect is stored anywhere outside your device
3iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you choose to sync your rules across devices, Redirectly uses Apple's iCloud infrastructure. Any data stored in iCloud is:
- Encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- Accessible only to you, via your Apple ID
- Governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy
- Invisible and inaccessible to us at all times
iCloud sync is entirely optional. The app works fully offline without it.
4Third-Party Websites
Redirectly's purpose is to redirect you to third-party websites. We have no control over those destinations. Each third-party site operates under its own privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their data practices.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any website you visit, especially when sharing personal information with them. Redirectly itself never mediates or sees the content of those sites.
5Children's Privacy
Redirectly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us immediately and we will take appropriate action.
6Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. We will never adopt practices that compromise your privacy without clear notice.
