Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Introduction

FriendKit is provided free of charge, as-is, for use as a personal utility on top of your own Facebook account. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with, if anyone.

By using FriendKit, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We do not sell your information, and we do not use or share it except as described here.

Information we collect

FriendKit is designed to run on top of your existing, logged-in Facebook session on your own device. Most of what the app does — reading posts, browsing stories, uploading video — happens directly between your device and Facebook, using your own session. We do not operate a separate FriendKit account system, and we do not ask for your Facebook password.

Some information may be temporarily held on your device to make the app work (for example, cached post data, session tokens, or settings). This data stays on your device and is not collected by us.

Third-party services

The app may rely on third-party libraries or services — for example, crash reporting or analytics tooling — that can independently collect limited technical information. We do not control what these third parties collect beyond what is necessary for the service they provide, and we encourage you to review their own privacy practices where relevant.

Log data

If the app encounters an error, we may receive diagnostic data through third-party tooling. This can include your device's IP address, device model, operating system version, app configuration at the time of the error, and the date and time of use. This is used solely to identify and fix bugs.

Cookies

FriendKit itself does not set its own cookies. However, some third-party code or libraries used within the app may use cookies to collect information or improve their services. You can choose to accept or decline these where your device or browser allows it; declining may limit some functionality.

Service providers

We may work with third-party companies or individuals to help run FriendKit — for example, to provide infrastructure, handle crash reports, or help us understand how the app is used. Where this requires access to any personal information, that access is limited to what's needed to perform the task, and these providers are not permitted to use or disclose the information for any other purpose.

Security

We take reasonable, commercially standard steps to protect any information involved in running the app. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is ever completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

FriendKit interacts with Facebook and may link out to other websites or services. We don't control these external sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit through the app.

Children's privacy

FriendKit is not intended for anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of FriendKit after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
